What to Do After a Hailstorm

A few simple steps protect your vehicle and your claim.

  1. Check the car once it is safe. Look over the roof, hood, trunk, glass, and mirrors after the storm passes.
  2. Take photos. Photograph the whole vehicle and close ups of any dents or cracked glass, and note the date of the storm.
  3. Do not rush a quick fix. Be careful with pop up tents and chasers who pressure you to sign on the spot.
  4. Get a free inspection. A proper inspection tells you the real extent of the damage and whether a claim is worth it.
  5. File the claim if it makes sense. Hail is usually a no fault comprehensive claim, and we can handle the filing and the adjuster for you.
  6. Choose paintless dent repair when possible. It keeps your factory paint and protects resale value.

Why acting sooner helps

Insurers can ask when the damage happened, and waiting too long can complicate a claim. Getting an inspection while the storm is still fresh keeps your options open.
